Deadly's NAV "The Beacon"

Unread post by Deadly GU » June 3rd, 2009, 1:13 pm

Now don't get me wrong, there's some nice Lux's out there, Skye (Luxxxy) and Steve's (SJCHilux) just to name a couple, but I wanted something a little different, and while there are some Nav's on the forums, there's nowhere near as many as Hilux's.......that, and I like my Nissan's:D

Anyway, picked this up today...............CHEAP.......

Image

Image
It's a '90 model, good solid body, only a couple of very small bits of surface rust (has an electronic rust preventer)

Image
2.7 ltr deisel with 5 speed

Image
Even came with a CD player................woohoo

...............and this UGLY big lump of steel......
Image

PLANS (which will be done in stages....read:- as funds allow, and on a budget)
Custom tray , slider's and front bar
2"body lift
Muddies................don't know what size yet
Turbo....................down the track
SAS.....................maybe
Locker/s........to start with
Suspension............undecided yet
OH......and it will be painted.
First things first, is to get it rego'd and on the road, then the fun begins.

Have to agree with you there nate:thumb:, while I love my 'Trol, there's to many electronic gizmo's on the engine, though not as many as some of the newer 4b's:crazy:...........and this one is going to be my "TOY":truck:

Thanks mate, that's one of the main reasons I bought it. that, and I have a big soft spot for this shape D21.
Had this one for 14 or 15 years now........................
