Project truck 1uz conversion - got any input?

Unread post by xgrumpig » August 13th, 2018, 4:17 pm

It's time to upgrade to a dual cab.
I still want a solid Axle front and a v8 (1uz?) and 33s.
$$$wise and for ease of motor fitting and engineering should I spend the extra on an ln106 Dc or sas a later model?

Cheers for any input.

ln106 would be cheaper to buy than a newer one with IFS, if your doing a 1UZ then find a blown or rolling shell since you don't need the motor or box.

SAS would cost you nearly as much as the 1UZ motor i reckon, so your already down.

Wats avg cost of a 1uz?
Intend on doin most of the work myself. Gonna try get a Front cut.
Is there anything I should expect on the look out for.
If a duel cab. Body fit on a single cab chassis that's something I'd look at aswell.
