G'day
Brakes come in pretty handy at times times.
It's not how fast it goes
But how fast it stops. That counts
Love ya work

Thanks mate. Yesterday we were at closed melaphyre mine and we met guy with RB25T long patrol like mine
this is funny.. when I was driving my honda there werent many GQ patrols but when i bought one i see some GQ everyday.. Few pics from mine:

I dont want to focus on look of my car but i must say that when i saw that GQ with steel bumpers, outer roll cage, roof rack, 35" tires, and maaannnyyy fog lights i wanted to have this
i dont need 35's or roll cage but it looks awesome...

Now its good fishing place, we have there climbing lessons for police, mountain rescue and other services. At 2 World War there was a concentration camp and there is few bunkers here and there..

Hello guys. I wasnt here for a while. Unfortunately i had car accident.. Icy road.., turn.. and i landed back in the ditch and roll over in the air.. Fortunately on wheels.

Frame is fortunately in one straight piece, back of body was twisted, front rim also, and steering rack. Flatbed truck drived me home and car is in garage now. I was thinking to sell the car or to change body... but when i was watching 4wd action movies on YT i have found THIS!!!

I want to have something like this
sooo pickup project starts now

now whole electrical is out, fuel tan also.

tank and back of the frame was cleaned, i weld some parts of frame and all was preserved and painted.
and little project how it will looks like

Not good that you had a prang!! Good that you are OK, & that you still have plans for the Patrol! Keep us updated please!

First plan was to buy high roof body shell and put it on my frame but is too expensive and hard to get. For now fuel tank is in and im fighting with rear wiring. Someone convert back light from bumper to body... U dont want to know how

Re: 1989 Nissan Patrol y60 long
little update
We have Christmas now so I dont have much time to work with car, but every evening I'm in the garage
I had some problems with engine, it wasn't working properly, idle was on 2k rpm's it can't start few times... So we used spray called "start helper" and after big boom engine is working
idle is adjusted and after a month in garage my beast was on little walk

Whole wall was from Fiat Ducato I bought it used so it's a little "tired" but it will be covered by canopy.

Fixing it solidly might not be such a great idea! Easy, maybe; but it probably wouldn't last!!
The chassis/frame on these things actually flex a fair bit (by design) especially off road, & especially up the back end - so I'd go for the rubber body mounts!
