This is the nipple I got for free from "The Cafe Racer shop" in Ormiston!

It is living somewhere here. I think that this is the kick down cable.
The nipple lives on the end of it.

Cheers

So, I put the nipple on the cable, put it all together and all is OK again. It changes gears the way it should.
all done in 30 minutes.

I did not use the LC for about 12 days. Jumped in yesterday and she started without any problem. I have done about 500 Km now in this car and I can tell you she goes great. It's very comfortable, quiet and feels solid. It all feels more solid than my tired GU did.
The new 285's are fitted and look great. A good size for this car.

Just a little update.
I had the car serviced and replaced plugs& leads, belts, rockercover gasket, and all oils etc.
It goes much better. My zero dollar repair works great.
I installed a snorkel, driving lights and a UHF.
All bargains again. Snorkel $125, lights $80 and UHF $100. The bracket of the UHF was missing. I offered $100 with an antenna and they said OK....happy days.

I am not much of a mobile phone photographer but this is how the old girl looks now.
All up she owes me $8100

I just bought a 2" lift kit. To be honest that is just 4 coils and 4 shocks ....but hey $50 who can complain....I presume the shocks are stuffed. I am not sure how to check these things of the car. Mr YouTube knows all.

Cheers

looks like a good buy dutchy, pretty clean, I agree with the comfort difference in the 100 series, must be the fit and finish as compared to my gu, they seem so much comfier and quiet.

I bought a Kaymar spare tyre carrier. Unfortunately I am missing a bracket. I have already spoken to the seller and all will be Ok. Just forgotten. That happens.

This is what I found under the rear bar cover. It might explain why I always smelt straw or wet grass.....
