Thread does seem a bit dead but I will finish it because that's what I do! So the beast is all wired up but at the moment it won't run because I need to get the immobiliser disabled. Also have to finish welding the exhaust which I've been putting off for ages! Here's a pic of it looking all shiny :) I've since wrapped the headers and put them back in. interior is looking nice with a new headliner and stainless doors cards. I'll post some pics of that next time. Cheers, Dan

Next update! The beast should have been running by now but I admit defeat with the wiring. I got so far as to get pretty much everything working in cab and out. She even winds over but just no ignition. Initially I thought that the computer had locked me out so I sent the ECU away to get the body control and immobiliser disabled..... It came back and still wouldn't start. It fires up when I sprayed ether in the intake but that's about it. Fuel lines are pressurised etc but injectors aren't working. Not sure what is wrong so my brother and I loaded it up today on a car trailer and took it to rockhampton to my cousins workshop (Fatz Fabrication, he does awesome custom 4x4 work!) to get a stainless snorkel fitted and also to get the thing going! Bit bummed I couldn't figure it out myself but oh well I did 99% of the work on this RIG and built it from ground up so I'm still pretty happy with it :) here's a pic before we loaded it onto the trailer. I'm thinking to either make my own bar or just buy a cheapy?? Not happy with the original bar I had for it so I didn't bother to put it on.

So the beast is going!! I haven't actually heard it in person yet. My cousin said the reason why it wouldn't start was because the marks adaptor harness had some plugs wired backwards!!!!!(good job Marks cost me $100 to get it towed!!) I never would have found that!! Apparently the headers/exhaust I made for it has a sweet note to it so if anyone is interested I might upload a vid in the next few days of it running :) I'm so excited about it. Got the blue plate... The engineer said it was a really nice build and he was a patrol man so that's saying something! :) Just need to get it roadworthied after I put the crappy bullbar back on and away we go!! :)

Actually I tell a lie... The brakes won't bleed so looking like the 80series booster/master cylinder I bought may be rooted. So Fatz Fab in rocky is sorting that for me too... Oh and putting a sweet 4" snorkel on it :thumb:

Thanks mate! I've put aaaalllooottttt of effort in on this project trying to get things done quickly but properly! It's still not registered yet but hopefully in the next couple of weeks. It's getting a mafless tune on Monday. Hoping for around 300-350rwhp but shall see how it goes :) I'm so broke after this project!!!! Luckily first trip in it planned is to Fraser for a week with my wife so she's not too mad about the $$ spent.

Nice work. Bet you are itching to drive it. I've recently done the same conversion into a V6 4Runner and couldn't be happier with the performance. Did you chop or bash the firewall at all? The LS2/3 accessories give you a tonne more clearance at the front of the motor. I even managed to squeeze my 16" thermo in on the engine side of the radiator with no firewall mods
