Welded, nah - just tightened up all the left hand as tight as he could by hand, then went around the other side of the car and tightened all that up as tight as he could, but that hauled so much pressure on the LHS that it made it almost impossible to get off, UNLESS you undid all the RHS stuff first, then tried the LHS!

Doesn't it all look like so much fun ahead of you? Betcha never thought rust could be quite everywhere like that! But you'll get there, keep at it, and keep the pics coming! ;)

Then i un-did all of the bolts that hold the roof on. If you are doing this or plan too, make sure you do the ones out the front that go into the windscreen :D i would also advise that having someone to help out, it would take half the time! I unfortunately was this lucky but i made do :D

That amount of rust is manageable :D

At least Farmer Joe never met expanding foam... try seperating panels with 15 gallon of that stuff between the tub and body panels

Ok thats the end of this days work, i then went on to try and hunt down a handbrake rear diff for the 5 speed conversion. I was going to bid on one but it ended up out of my price range but then one came up just near home so i grabbed it, turns out he also had some 35's which i tried on for size :D

Cost so far:
$6480 + handbrake diff = $150
Total $6630
