The next few days involved one major aspect of the build arrive :D I went and bought a HJ61. So for half an hour i just wanted to drive it and listen to the sound of that beatiful turbo <3 After i had gotten over the new car i pulled off the front guard and bonnet and steering box and arms etc. Getting the steering joints out was an apsolute bi7ch as they always are!! Photo time again :)

Later that night i brought the 60 into the garage to pull off the winch to get it out of the weather. This involved tacking the bullbar of which was a pain to unbolt because of the winch getting in the way, but anyway after a while it came off. Had the hand of my younger brother too :D

Then the last update until i will be up to date. Today involved pulling the bonnet, guard and cleaning out the interior of TRAVIS. With the help of the 60 of course, just another excuse to drive it :waycool:

Haha. It's pretty funny sitting here watching you come across farmer joes work, and bullets. Hope it all goes well from here on. It's going to be a nice ute when finished.

Haha yeah I think he just drove around with a welder! The tray had 372924739 things welded onto it. Cheers for the comment :waycool:

Also guys, I can't decide on what colour to paint it! I'm thinking either a bright red, the new Mazda green or the gunmetal grey off the new landcruisers. I'm kind of leaning towards the green or red???

Graphite grey looks great! That being said, I like the toxic green of the Falcons :thumb:

Yeah old fellas aye, my first old ln65 lux i got off an old bloke called John Smith, of all common names. I had exta screws everywhere on the interior, his wife stitched up the drivers seat. Painted tray with house paint using a brush. Me being a painter saw the funny side of it. To top it off, we went for a test ride and he wouldnt let me take off in first only in second, and told me i was speeding doing 50 in a 60.i told him the clutch was stuffed, and he wouldn't take that.my name is Kieren, but he kept calling me Kerry, even wrote the recipt out to Kerry and he had my drivers license in his hand. Haha.

The new cruiser grey I reckon, it'll look like a new cruiser. I'm painting my lux the new hilux champagne. To make it look newer. Unless you want it to stand out, bright orange. Lol

Hey guys, HSC trials start on Monday
I haven't made much progress other than speaking to my engineer. He said I can get 35" engineered and then I thought I should just push the boundaries a bit and see about 37". I haven't asked him about them yet but I was wondering roughly what a 35" muddy (km2, baja claw, trep, centipede) costs and the same for a 37"?
Cheers guys
