Most recent trip was a quick overnighter to Booloumba Creek in Connondale National Park (near Kenilworth). Amazing place with crystal clear creek crossings and some deep swimming holes. Can't wait to get back here.

That is just great that Roothy got the see and drive it. Given his passion for the old FJ's. :) You topped it too getting a ride in Milo!
Looking more like you will get to keep it too. ;)

Couple pics from a overnight trip to Crofters Private Mountain Estate (the old Landcruiser Mountain Park) to watching the racing of Round 1 of the Aust4 Racing Series (Aussie Ultra4). Ute is going really well with the new motor.

Got a decent amount of flex to from those leaf springs.
Looks good. :)
I take it selling it now is not on the cards as having too much fun with it?

Awesome photo's. Great car. I saw Roothy driving mustard the other day. I thought that was written of after he parked it on it's side.

I am definitely gonna have a look at Booloumba Creek in Connondale National Park.
Not far away and it looks beautiful.

Cheers

Was starting to get that way, but we recently had our 2nd kid, so its time for a family wagon. Just so happens I picked up one :D

Couple photos of the ute from a small detour through the Beerwah State Forest on the way to sort a custom handbrake cable to suit the 5spd conversion and 60 series rear diff. Only a couple other small things to sort before it goes up For Sale.

Sure is mate. I picked up a 1964 and 1966 FJ45's. Ended up selling the 64 to a mate who is going to restore it too (i thought it was almost too far gone). I'll start a build thread on here soon with more pics.

Was the 64 an ex variety bash car with a modified roof? There was one here in Brisbane i found sitting in a driveway. I actually rang Alan Gray to see if he wanted it.

I came very close to buying that one but couldn't justify the asking price at the time for how rusty it was. While checking it out in person I hinted at a price I'd be happy to pay, but at the time it was too low for the owner. (A few months later a mate ended up buying it for this low price)

So I put a wanted add up on a Aussie FJ45V facebook page. A fellow club member of the Classic Landcruiser Club of Qld, Paul Read, aka Mr Landcruiser answered this and said he knew of two FJ45V's for sale in Prosperpine. He runs a business selling complete old landcruisers and parts. Here is a link to his facebook page.

These were the only pictures Paul had available of the 45V's to judge there condition by. Extremely poor resolution.

They looked saveable in the pics, and even with the 2000km round trip tow job to pick them up it looked like it was worth the risk for the cost. We told the owner we would take them but it then took over 3 months to get him to lock in a date for the towy to pick them up. Started to feel like it would never happen.

Wow, you don't see too many of the FJ45LV around.
A remember following along a build a few years ago on a full restoration. Might have been this one actually. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/1966-f ... ct.100170/

Make sure you link to the build here when you start a new thread for it can you as I would like to see it. :)
Cheers, Marcus
