My Tow rig/Tourer 76 series

Unread post by joshy » July 12th, 2012, 5:30 pm

Starting this thread a bit early, havent recieved it yet, but im trying to get all the ideas and parts before it shows up. :D
Setting it up for towing the Navara and touring duties...which im sure will turn into doing the harder tracks
Gxl 76 series cruiser in graphite.
- Aircon
- factory diff locks
- tow bar

so far ive bought
12000lb tigers hurcules winch
arb air compressor
redarc electric brake controller
Arb bullbar
Roof console
dual battery
15L air tank
sub and amp

And still to buy before it gets here
3" straight through exhaust
3"- 3 1/2" stainless snorkel
3" coils for the front, rear i will make extended shackles for
Superflex arm
extended brake lines
few metres of tube to bend up some brush bars/side steps.
UHF
LED light bar
35" trepadors
and havent decided on rims yet was thinking
MO9093-342x342.jpg
but so far havent been able to find them with negative offset
So i might just go some steel beadlocked rims instead with as much neg offset as i can get, havent seen any "nice" rims i think will look good on it.
Got a trip to the high country in november to break it in.

Hey bloke I've got a spare set of superior engineering extended greasable shackles and bush kit...

Minus the front pins and prob those bushes too as you gotta order that separate, as I decided to just order the big 3" super flex kit sooner than I thought
V8 79 Series (175rwkw) & HJ47 W2A intercooled & turbo (75rwkw) both methanol injected

That's awesome, can't wait to see it! Make sure you post some pics!

Let me know what dates the trip will be as soon as you can so I can make arrangements, if possible, to come along :)
I'm half way there already, in the ACT anyway ;)

Exhaust and shocks should get here soon.

Ended up ordering a set of allied steel beadlocks 16x8 with -25mm offset.
Think ill be modifying the ARB bar, cut that middle lower tube out so a 30" light bar can fit aswell as spotties.

Thank Christ you aren't going those ugly as Ass Motometal rims.
I'd roll Sunraysia's before that design rim :gurn:
