I would of guessed 50% blocked. Cos the holes are no bigger that the 4 pieces of metal surrounding each hole. Lol nah only having a go.

Leave it de badged, looks tidy and clean. Or paint the badge black.

Dammit you've seen right through me! But seriously the math seems to add up.... I just doubt it will have any real world effect...

Yeah, I am liking the badge less look at the min but will see how it looks on the day light!

Finished of attaching the Grille today, just a case of cutting some 5mm threaded rod down to 10x3cmm lengths

Image

Epoxy the rods around the inside edges

And bolt it on..

Jeez been awhile!

Thanks Coco7 I am still trying to decide on having the Toyota letters across the front

Had a go at the rear rack today, its been bugging me as just not quite right. Don't get me wrong I like'd it full length but it seemed a bit over kill for a play/trails 4b. Plus we have started taking our daily GU Patrol out more when we go with the dogs etc so Piggy is really becoming just a toy.....so.....

I chopped it down so I could put the hard lid back on, which I recon look alot better!

Mate, mines still held on with zipties. nothing wrong with that!

Decided to put a badge of sorts on the front grille...well behind it..

So this is what I went with for the letters....

Printed out TOYOTA on two bts of A4 and joined them together.

Taped the back to give it a bit of strength and then cut out the letters with a razor blade

Image

Light bit of spray mount on the template to hold it in place on the radiator and then tape and paper everything else

Image

Spray over with Heat proof white paint (Lightly so not to fill in the fins) and pull off all the tape/paper

Grille back on and looks pretty ok I reckon!

Dunno if you have already done this but a mate of mine says they get a womans stocking and put it over the filter.
Apparently the stockings have some kind of water repellant in them.

Looks like you need to do a bit of sanding a repaint underneath the car mate. Got a bit of rust going on on the front diff i can see.
