Non winch bar to winch bar ???

Unread post by gmhgq » December 14th, 2016, 5:39 pm

Hi all,
Has anyone converted a ARB non winch bar to fit a winch.
Can you buy mounts off the shelf.
Would it be legal.

Can't really afford the expense of a new bar.

Short answer - it's not quite that easy!!

Longer answer - it has been asked & done before, but the critical bits are the bar mounts & the front face of the centre panel of the bar between the mounts - they need to be strong enough to support all the winching loads AND any shock loads!! Tell you what, have a bit if a read in this lot! ;) ... mit=Search
