285/70R17 Cooper STT
ProComp 17x9 (-6 offset) :D
2" OME lift
Got rid of the light rub at full lock only in reverse by trimming a bit the inner plastics, looks great, drives great.

Has anyone fit 15 inch rims to their new bt-50?

Unread post by Liam258 » April 28th, 2015, 6:46 pm

Hi, just wondering if anyone has fit 15inch rims to their new bt-50? And if so, what offset did you use and what size tyres are you running? Just wonder because there are a lot more sizes available and a bit cheaper for the 15inch rims. I don't mind getting flares either to make them work. Cheers in advance.

I don't know if a 15" rim would fit over the front caliper.

Biggest Tyres on MK2 PX Ranger

Unread post by nzpezza » December 10th, 2015, 7:37 am

I can see a few threads about this already but I'm not sure of the clear answer.....

Firstly I am based in Lae, Papua New Guinea.

I'm getting (ordered) a MK2 PX Ranger Wildtrak as my vehicle with 2" suspension lift and I'm trying to find out whether 305 tyres will fit? I can see threads where people are talking about whats legal etc and this doesn't apply to me whatsoever being based in PNG :) :)

I just want to know purely what the biggest tyres I can fit with a 2" suspension lift.

Thanks!

Most 285/75/16's, 285/70/17's, or 305/70/17's would normally be considered a 'nominal' 33" tyre (some are smaller/larger than others, & nominal 'sizes' can vary by brand &/or tread too, as well as not necessarily being 'exactly' what's shown/stated on the sidewall either!) but if you want to know more precisely what size anything is, look up the rolling dia of the brand/pattern/tyre you are looking at; &/or Google 'tyre size calculator', pick one of the results, & enter what you know or want to know - the calculators at www.exploroz.com are pretty handy, there's even a tyre size comparison tool. ;)

I bought a cheap set of 15x8 -22 offset wheels with 32x11.5r15 tyres to trial on my ute. The rims clear the brakes fine. The tyres don't scrub the guards at all. It currently doesn't have a lift fitted. You could possibly fit 33s without a lift. I will be lifting it 2 inches and fitting 33s on 15x10 -44 offset rims soon.

eBay flares from Thailand. Quality is good for the price.
