I'm looking to go to Cooper ST Maxx 265 70 17's. Is there any dramatic difference in going from a 65 to a 70 profile? Do you lose much power/fuel economy? How's the driveability affected?

No significant differance, makes the speedo near on perfect, first gear better placed and around 17.5mm lift. No negatives for me....

I'm running Bf all terrains in a 265/ 70/ 17 i reckon there perfect and the speedo is spot on with them on.

A bloke i know has a set of 285/ 75/ 16 mtz's on his ranger with no lift and reckons they dont scrub so it can be done.
Plus it looks tough as

1000kms on the new coopers at3s and drivability is much better
In Sydney there is no stock of cooper st maxx
3 to 4 month wait so AT3 I went.
No difference than standard size tyre in fuel or power

Nah I kept the old tyres just in case my leasing company cracks up about the new ones. However I went to a Bob Jane here in Perth when the truck was new, looking to trade them in on some BFG AT's and they were going to give me $110 each for the originals.
