
They are funny coz they sod off for a day or 2 and you think you have em beat - then blow me down, they come back again outta the blue!.
Maybe I will keep putting the bait around but pour boiling water on it to wash it down into the nests.
These things are so small that - unless there's a lot of them in a line you almost can't see them.
The granules of the bait to me, seem to be 'too coarse' for them to carry down into the nest, the granules are bigger than the opening of the nest and way too big for these little fellas to move I reckon.
I think they are sugar ants or Pharaoh ants - pale brown lil suckers!.
They really are small.. smallest ants I've ever seen!
I'd welcome some bigger ants on the block, to beat them up.
You wouldn't think the smallest ones, would be the most troublesome to eradicate!.
I think they are just testing my perimeter defenses for an out and out attack most likely.
Could turn into a war of attrition at this rate.
