High Way purpose of white cross continuous lines ?

For the stuff that's NOT 4WD related, here's where you can come on in and discuss it, but do play nice!

It is a satanic pagan cross from a small group of women that did road
paintings at night in the 80's. Only few remain. You are never to drive over them.

To op, It could be either as other posters have mentioned, Start/end or end/start of aerial surveillance markers for checking speed from point A to point B or emergency RFDS landing strip markers.

i think the whole idea is that most people will not challenge it , ; ie go to court .
either through ignorance or dont care enough about their rights ,
i have had a similar situation with a mobile phone , i was not using .
challenged it with info , prosecution dismissed .

and i was not using my phone , which is why i fought it .

I am pretty certain you can be charged for just holding your phone while you are behind the wheel with the keys in the ignition. Therefore, you don't even have to be on the phone to anyone to be in trouble with big brother.

Not making any assumptions Kerry as obviously you fought it in court and got off, Just saying. :)

The Eyre Highway has a number of RFDS emergency strips with the road sign stating you are going to be driving over it as shown and the road markings are the "piano key" stripes common to sealed landing strips.

G,,day .
yes , here in Tassie even holding a phone while driving is an offence .

mine had been in my pocket all day . that is why i was pissed off and fought it .
i was innocent .
if i had been guilty , i would have accepted that i had stuffed up , broken the law .
and paid the fine .

cheers
