Neighbors borewater smell what to do?

For the stuff that's NOT 4WD related, here's where you can come on in and discuss it, but do play nice!

The bloke was a typical loudmouth Italian, we knew he had a cross bow and
he always threatened to kill the cat, I was a kid so I cant remember what the issue
was, probably pissing in his bushes or something. Any way he shot it and my brother and dad went
around there and his mrs. answered the door and he was hiding.

That saab stank when it caught fire, nearly as much as the bore water.

a few things i wonder is , is the smell suddenly terrible or has it been like this for ages and you suddenly had enough? how could a grown adult not think of something as simple as 'call the counci' without someone suggesting it? meaning if you hadnt of posted here you would still be just putting up with it?
shannlow.
really low thing to say. is that why your name is 'low'? we all have our buttons that people push and everyones button is different. aussies do complain too, just causer someone complains to council doesnt make em un aussie, if it did there wouldnt be council rangers in suburbs where only aussies live. we dont know the whole story, only what goldy tells us.

Fair enough. I always wonder why people can't get along. It's not hard to just not comment if you haven't got something constructive or positive to add. Putting people down for no good reason IS un-Australian ...

Personaly I don't think the mods should delete anything, providing it isn't rude or
defaming anyone.

I'm a big boy and can dish as much as I take, to be honest I don't even remember that post.
Was probably deleted before I had the chance to read it. lol

The whole thing of being aussie is putting each other down until one breaks and then you've won.
That seems to be what we do at work anyway....

On a forum there's always people who think they know everything about you, and the situation youre in,
and exactly what to do, and feel the need to be the alpha male on the keyboard and write whatever
they want. Should their post be deleted? I don't think so.

On a lot of forums they get called out or shamed and often delete their posts themselves or apologise anyway,
and know how stupid they looked.

I personally hate when my posts get modified or deleted.

Anyway,, on the bore water smell, i'm thinking the drain out the back is definitely
contributing. All wetlands or drains around here stink at the moment. A similar
stink to the water.

Probably should have said typical loudmouth and that he was Italian. The fact he made threats
and a lot of noise then didn't want to play when the game came knocking is what I meant.
Typical loudmouth.

We do have a lot of Italian families around my area and a lot of them do seem loud.
Saying that, the bloke over the road is Aussie and comes out the front to shout on his phone so
everyone can hear it, come to think of it the whole family is loud. Not just limited
to Italians I guess.

Apologies if I offended anyone. ;)

If he was Irish or Indian I would have put that in the story all the same. All good.

On the water subject again (seeing as the threads about it) We have a water treatment
plant at work, on Mondays especially, it stinks hard. To the point some of the guys have
been sick from the smell. I don't think it's dangerous, just very offensive.

We had a U.V light in one of the pipes which killed the bacteria. Apparently.
It did help a lot when it was running.

I suppose a bore system runs a lot of flow and i'm not sure where the light was
in accordance to the tank setup at work. I'm guessing it just doesn't go inline at
the "flow end" and make the water clean/bacteria free, so to speak, as it flows out.

Contamination and bacteria I would think are the cause, same as the swamps and drains.
The local businesses here have been pumping crap into the river for eons, not
to mention most of our suburbs around here are built on rubbish dumps.

Take a sample and send it to a chemistry centre to have it tested. If its unsafe go the local council first then the EPA.

In our area they tested the bore water after the neighbour claimed it was not safe. Found also sorts in the water so the EPA put an order on the bore to stop using it and a caviet on the proerty to notify any buyers.

Then they put bores down to find out how wide the problems was. Luckily it was confined to this small area near the block.
