If your tyres are wearing the tread , where does all that rubber go ? If you think about how many cars on the road there should be a big pile of it somewhere or the roads should be getting thicker

If we are drilling holes (oil) digging holes (mining) all over the planet, how can it spin on the same axis?

since they are digging up half of WA and shipping it off, why doesnt australia tip up from being out of balance and now too heavy on the east.

Why is it that when a dog rides in a car he'll put his head out the window
so the wind can blow in his face and enjoy it.....BUT if you blow in his face
he'll get really annoyed?

Which then begs the question why are so many of our most used roads full of pot holes instead of getting a deeper layer of rubber over them?

Which leads to another question - if we are building the road surface up every time we travel over it why do we need to pay for repairs - we're doing a DIY job each time we drive?

That's an easy one to answer Jfoldbar,
Australia will not become "east" heavy due to the fact that there are so many big fat wallets over here in WA
due to the extremely well paid mining jobs in the west :thumb:

How did the phrase " A Wigwam for a Goose's Bridle" come about? It is Aussie slang for none of your business and my father used to use it regularly.

I'd never heard it in WA then was living in Sydney when my daughter was going through the "what's that?" stage of life.

Everyone answered "wigwam for a gooses bridle", I said it once in WA and got the "weirdo" look.

Apparently, it was originally "a whim-wham for a goose's bridle!" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_wigwam_f ... 27s_bridle

Or an alternative, "a whim-wham for ducks to sit on!"

Me, I like the wigwam version. That's what my grandparents/parents always said, and that's what my kids have often heard from me & the missus! ;)

a whim wham, how on earth did they go from that to wigwam  Must have been a lot of mutterers and stutterers in the old days.
