? Amarok Twin - cab Towing Ability

Unread post by Kevin C » January 16th, 2013, 7:56 pm

I currently looking at a suitable towing vehicle for my caravan. Have looked at the Ford Ranger & the Mazda BT 50. My Van fully loaded comes in at 2700kg with dual axle. Comparing the 3 vehicles the Amarok leads the way with the safety features but Im concerned it may be under powered compared to the 3.3lt - 5 clyinder Ranger or BT 50.

Has anyone got a Amarok that uses it to tow a caravan? If you can let me know if you have any issues with it. Any feedback you can provided will be great.

Hi Kevin,

The Amarok is more than capable enough in the towing stakes :)

Have a look at http://www.ausamarok.com.au you'll find plenty users on there that do regular towing.

There is a nice video review of Amarok's towing capability on the Caravanworld's website http://www.caravanworld.com.au/latest-r ... 75899.aspx Could be of interest?

Cheers
