Cape York - OTT 2014 - The WET Bits

Unread post by 101bravo » July 20th, 2014, 5:49 pm

Check out my latest vid. We've just returned from our first Cape York Trip. As many of you know - the OTT is not really all that challenging apart from the water crossings. This year, like most, the OTT water crossings is killing cars. On our way up we'd been warned 'dont do it, you wont make it'.

We did it. It was surprisingly easy.

Here are the best bits. Mine is the White GU and travelling with us is Christian in his Silver GU.

15psi and walking Nolan's Brook first meant that we could choose a 'ZIG ZAG' path which gave us at least one good tyre helping propel us forward at all times. Many previous cars simply floated.

Nice Vid, but I gotta say the sound effects from the camera lady on the Levuka Easter 2014 Slippery Climb vid were a helluva lot more entertaining! :D

Haha Peter, I know the vid well. That was my wife .. and it was her car. It should never have even been out on the tracks as it was the tow car for our caravan back then ... I would always break by Bravo so we needed to bring the Patrol. As you can see - these days the Patrol is on active duty. Awesome car. Very happy with how it went on the Cape Trip.
