Unread post by Gippslander » June 11th, 2014, 10:09 am

Just going through some old videos on Youtube came across this Gem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BczEWS8 ... S4&index=2
We think we have to have 2" lift and big tyres etc to do the Strezleki track have a look at the rig old Jack used in 1985. :)

Good video, skimmed some of it, but will look at it in full tonight.
He went out to the Strz Tk at Mt Hopeless, and the homestead was still occupied at the time.
Since amalgamating with Murnpeowie Stn some years ago, it has been abandoned, but is still interesting to visit.

Sigma wagon hey ? :D
He was doing it pretty hard in the Cobbler sandhills though :)
Loved the beer can fire extinguisher.

Took the time to view the rest of the old fellas video's and he has a lot of wisdom in them with quite a few anecdotes as he explains the history of the places he visits. I especially like his break down hints he was an amazing bushy as well as a great painter we could all learn from the old bloke.

It always amused me how he likes to pump his tyres right up as soon as he got on a rough rocky road lolol
