Interesting the change in mood for the audience. From half hearted applause to some genuine screams of terror. You can tell the lions were up for giving a little back to their handlers.

Anyone else notice that the trainer was getting a bit aggressive with the stick/whip on that first animal? And when the other bloke came in, he too was a bit 'pokey' with his prod? It seemed to me that even before the second lion started getting stroppy, both the men were almost goading the aggro lions into having a go, and funnily enough, that's exactly what the wild animals responded with??

I did think that too - rather than getting out of there he wanted to fight!
