Count us in (2a & 3k). Day trips, camping weekends, whatever.

Other suggestions include:
Abercrombie
Bendethra
Cascades
South East Forests
Sth Coast
Yawal
Yerranderie
Kosciuszko
Wadbillinga
Others?

Been to several of the above places a few times, but would visit again.

Appears to be a "closed group" that you have to request to join.
What are the criteria for joining? Are they all members of one club?
Oddly, facebook has discovered that one of the members is friends with the young son of one of my mates.
It's a small world ... even more so in the Canberra area.

Don't use Facebook - doesn't respect your privacy.

I went up to Macintyres Hut and Lowell Flat for a Sunday afternoon drive on the weekend - tracks are all in good condition and not particularly challenging. The exception is the boghole under the power lines off Two Sticks. Some water still around and deep holes with deep mud on the bottom of them - a Jackaroo had just winched himself out when I arrived and had broken his winch in the process. I was not in the mood for mud playing so tried to get across on what looked like the easiest route but managed to slip off the dry bit into the mud - completely covered my 35s and managed to fill me headlight surrounds which are about 30" off the ground. Thankfully I was able to back out without having to get my feet wet - on one hand I would like to do some mud play there but it is a shame the area is being damaged - however the rest of the NP seems to be in good nick so at least the damage is very localised and in an area that would recover quickly.

A nice afternoon drive but a few too many bikes - nearly collected a quad that was going down a hill a bit too fast - I was going up but all ended well.

After the 22nd I am on leave for a month, so become way more flexible for day or weekend trips after that.
But that doesn't mean I can't do any trips till then. I just have to fit in with my roster till then.

Hi Guys, Im new to the area and don't know many people here, but would also like to tag along with a few others for a good time in the bush, and get to know the area and a few mates on the way. I have an old NJ 2.8TD Paj but it hasnt missed a beat in over 400,000 klm's.
Im in the North side, Bonner. So any guys close would be great. Haven't joined a club yet but looking into it.

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone from the Canberra area would like to meet up for either a one dayer or overnight trip weekend after next (21 - 22 Jan)? Happy with Brindies, or elsewhere. If the weather forecast is too be believed there should be some good muddy fun to be had.
Give me a shout if interested.

4wding only starts when you have to get out of the cab, everything before that is just driving on crap roads.
