Groups or clubs in Pilbara/Port Hedland

Unread post by Hocks » November 16th, 2010, 10:59 am

Was wondering if there was any 4WD groups, meetings or clubs in Pilbara, more to the point, Port Hedland.

I believe there is some groups in Karratha but hoping there was a closer group.

Alright, I not able to go far in my poorly Paj, but she'll be sorted soon and I hope to have a newer 4WD by Christmas.
Then the fun will begin, strip out what I have already from the paj and the build will begin.

:truck: :)

Ive started a club in Newman. May be a touch far from Hedland etc for most day trips lol.

but if you move over here (a lot of people seem to lol) feel free to drop in.

Whats everyones plans over the Christmas and the beginning of the new year?
I'm up for meeting up if anyone else if free.
Could take a drive to Newman, meet up with others there and then take a trip in land, would love to get to Clear waters, near Woody Woody, could drive up the Canning Stock route.
I know its going to be hot but ah, it'll be fun.
I'm off from Wednesday, the 14th Dec and taking a trip to Perth, I'll probably stop in or around Newman on the night of the 14th if your around Raisins. Going down for a long weekend and from the following Sunday night, 18th I'll be leaving Perth and taking a slow drive up with just myself and my daughter. Thinking of taking the coastal route and do as much off roading as poss.

I'll be around for Christmas and New Year but hoping to take a trip out and do more off roading and exporing after the new year as I dont go back to work until 16th Jan.

If anyone fancies meeting up for a day trip or even a few days, I'll be up for it.

Later

hey guys!
i would be up for a trip around the area but im having issues with the hilux at the moment...
at first i thought i had blown a head, was spewin coolant into overflow but after a cooling system flush and service it hasnt been doing it. now a blocked breather and failing to unlock the hubs and driving home broome with front hubs locked in has destroyed the pinion seal on the diff (there is still hope its not wrecked, but not likely lol) and the ol' luxy is due for a 5000km trip back to NSW on the 2nd...
Yes, unfortunatly im going FIFO but i have plans to bring the ute back, going to drive across the top in the dry season and do a few more trips, (Tanami, Gibb River Road and maybe Gunbarrel) in my off swings instead of flying home. doing 2 weeks on 2 weeks off so as long as i can find the cash a few trips should be on the cards.

i joined the NORCs forum too Raisins, looks great!

Hocks (or anyone else for the matter) if you want to have a play one afternoon somewhere local id be up for it, degreased the lux last night and want to give it a little bit of a run to see the severity of my issues.

PORCs sounds good.
I'll message you with my Mobile if you fancy meeting up.
I still have another week off, was going to go away but decided to stop around and do a few things to the Disco.
