4ROCS Offroad - Christmas Party & Rainbow Beach Trip

Unread post by Stampy » August 14th, 2009, 12:34 am

4ROCS is a group off offroad enthusiasts Australia-wide, who share a common passion for 4WDing and other outdoor pursuits.

We are a family-friendly group and don't mind whether you tow a camper-trailer behind a Falcon, drive a lightly modified fourby, or a rig that is competition capable as we enjoy every aspect of our sport.

Most of us met over the last two years and while our group started out as Toowoomba based we now have members and good friends from most areas of Queensland and the other States.

4ROCS itself, started in February 2009 and is growing rapidly. We hold regular gatherings and drives and are becoming very much community focused with our activities at a local level, and as numbers grow, in other locations as well.

Feel free to drop in and say Gday.

If you would like further information about 4ROCS or information in regards to joining 4ROCS please PM either myself, eMOJO or Dieselpower.

Any chance you guys come as far South as Sydney?
Looking at a couple of 4wd clubs. BBM sounded good as well.

Also I never really understood what goes on with a 4wd club. Do you have like a gathering or something? and what do you do? How often do you go offroad. And does it cost money to be involved in one?

We are not a registered club and as such we have no fees. more of a social group of people that enjoy getting out of the house.
We have a couple of members down in the sydney area.
4rocs doesn't have meetings we operate through a forum like this one.
As far as going off road, post up a trip and people will come out.

Murphy's Creek Moto-X community event :: 29-30 August 09

4ROCs is looking after recovery + on track communications for this event which is expected to have 1000+ riders attending so it's looking like we'll need a bit more help. All proceeds from the event will go to Murphy's Creek State School here in Queensland and this is a great opportunity for 4ROCs to get behind this event and help make it a great success.

We will also be doing some social wheeling on the Saturday afternoon + a night run for those involved.

For any 4ROCs and non-4ROCs members wanting to be involved could you please PM me on here for details... it will be great to have you involved even if it's only for an hour over lunch either day.

Cheers

Everything is all go for this w/end and the tracks are in great condition... one of the sweep riders has already broken his arm pre-running the trail on Saturday!

I can see we'll be busy, but it'll be fun watching all the carnage!
