My HJ54 Landcruiser (HJ47 Cab, HJ61 Chassis)

Unread post by hj54cruiser » February 14th, 2016, 4:40 pm

Few years into the build and slowly getting through it but figured i would start a post to track my progress from here on out.

Started building a cruiser a while back with my dad, originally we bought a hj47 ute and wanted to fix it up.
We decided we wanted to up the power in the truck and bought a hj61 originally for the 12ht motor, just to do a simple motor swap but after driving the hj61 we realised it was too good a truck to take the motor from so we decided to put the hj47 cab on the hj61 chassis and its been a project and a half ever since!

Built the tray myself (little over strengthened but its my first project)

going to continue along with the build as i go. got to move house so might be a couple of weeks before i can get back into it!. starting to prepare panels and parts for paint. im an apprentice panel beater and learning as i go.

Looks good. Brave project to say the least. Good choice of engine too. Maybe try a 75 series bar if your not totally happy with the 80 bar.
