have dual battery system to put in from hilux does anybody know where i can fit a second battery?

also fixed a steering knock so pulled out steering column and regreased universal joints and all good.

while i was there i replaced gearlever bush and replaced slave cylender to fix the grinding gears problem.

decided to fix surface rust in floor before it got out of control. grinded it to bare metal and painted over the top with sound deadner

Image

mechanical work so far:
- repacked wheel bearings
- front pads and discs
- rear handbrake shoes, discs and pads
- front shock bushes
- rocker cover gasket and spark plug seals and replaced spark plugs
- resealed sump
- replaced crankshaft pulley seal and oil pump seal.
- replaced transfer output shaft seals.
- replaced front pinon diff seal

only oil leak i have now is from power steering pump. does anybody know if this can be unbolted from back of the block or u have to take it off the timing chain first as it is driven off timing chain?

driving home from work someone in a mazda 626 sedan decided to pull out into the intersection just as i was coming past and
the cruiser didnt stop in time.
the mazda copped bent a,b,c frames doors, buckled roof, front and rear floors buckled. and probably alot more i didnt notice.

cruiser on the other hand copped a bent bullbar and a dent in lower guard where bullbar hit it and and dent in upper guard where uhf aerial mount hit it.

Image

good outcome in the end as driver of mazda admitted fault and ill be getting a brand new bullbar at no cost to me.

A bit of an update built tray, sub tank, mud tyres, extended shackles, and lastly LS1 conversion goes like a rocket now.
