Going to have to come up with something though when the locker goes in. I think I'll wreck the springs pretty quick with good tyres and without some type of anti - Wrap device

Time for an update :thumb:
I've found a problem with the way the pipe clamp on the bender worked, it didn't hold the pipe in the die at a true zero degrees, and made doing repetitive angles almost impossible. You can see in this photo where the "strap" would retain the pipe
Image

So I spent too much time making this (going to re-engineer it anyay later)
Image
Image

So now it actually keeps the pipe "true" to the die
Image

I've also discovered bending compound shapes with single pieces of short pipe is a royal pain in the arse
Image

All done, clamped back to back so you can see the offset

I've done them in such a way I can add a brace or bracing and coilovers at a later time, that's why the mounts look a little bulky. should have them welded on tomorrow, then time for front tubs

Well I'm really committed now, waiting for the new pitman arm to turn up so I can finish off the steering. so I did this.

At least it makes it easy to get in and re-manufacture the exhaust....
(which by the way is gunna be bodgy as, short on funds so cut & shut a commodore set):p

Update time :waycool:

Well at least now there is actually some progress done that is worth of some photos.

I've finished the extractors and worked out the exhaust, but have to get some new Cats, so that's on hold again.

I've nearly finished one wheel tub, something I've been putting off as I REALLY hate hand forming panels.
I think that it's tuned out ok, still have to add a scallop for the booster, but the main part is done

Started with some 0.9mm zinc coated plate
Image

Hand formed the flange around the shock hoop, it'll have a sheet of rubber attached later over the back side of the hoop.

Also the flange where the top side will meet the inner

Pretty happy so far :)

Good work, you have come too far to abandon it. I understand about life getting in the way!! I have an XD falcon that has been waiting over 12months as it is.
