Just happy that it'll allow me to keep out on tracks in comfort, rather than having to give off roading away.. So proud isn't the word more 'thankful"

Gus who are you going to get to install your Redarc tow pro elite brake controller?

You MAY have to include an additional relay on your pickup wire from your brake lights is all!.

I've just installed one of the lower model Tow Pro that doesn't have the wireless blue tooth connectivity to the rear plug from the controller (I had to run a wire front to back) - however.... apart from that, it's basically the same unit your looking at.

The thing you have to watch for, is the sensors on these new computer controlled vehicles that monitor everything in real time.

IF the sensors pick up voltage drop in the bake lights circuit when the redarc brake controller - triggers from the brake lights circuit, as you apply the brake THEN the sensors can cause the computer that controls everything to throw codes, when you jump on the brakes - which you then need a scanner to clear yourself or take to Tojo for them to do it.

It's not unheard of for ABS light to come on (and stay on) for e.g.

The relay helps prevent the voltage drop when applying the brake and the redarc unit then activates the brake circuit (blue wires).

Just a heads up for you - in case your planning to do the install yourself is all.

The Redarcs come with a auto re set 30 amp fusible link kit (About $70) that you should run in your power direct to the unit wire from positive on your battery also.

Best of luck with it - I reckon the Redarc Tow Pro elites are probably the best on the market.. with the tekonsha prodigy RF being next best.

You do have to drill a 10mm & 3 mm hole in that nice new car dash for the Redarc controller knob tho (Hopefully you have a blanked off switch plate you can utilize). Make sure you put it somewhere you can see & reach quickly / easily to push in the event of a trailer sway situation.

The joys of modding a vehicle. ;)

Looking pretty swish Gus.
If your not comfortable out on the tracks in that there's something wrong! :thumb:
One of life's conundrums/irony's... bye the time your old enough to afford all the good gear for off roading, your body can't stand up to the rigors of off-roading/4wding & camping any longer!
There's no justice in this life!.

We need a like button.
Sure that's been said a few times.
Needs a height adjustable hitch so you can set the van level when towing (probably?)
Or air ride/height adjustable suspension at the rear?
Load levelers do put weight back over the front wheels (thus tend to lift the rear so if you have a weight distribution hitch maybe you could get away without either height adjustable hitch or air adjustable suspension?)
Probably no point until you do your suspension lift/upgrade anyway coz things will likely just change once that's done.

Have an off Road van.. so as it'll be used off road weight distribution/level rides can't be used.. suspension will be beefed up & Air bags with Kevlar sleaves in rear coils by the time it's set up it'll be towing level ;)
