Hi guys, been offline for a while with my missus having our baby. Truck is now running. Still haven't gone anywhere exciting due to work, family blah blah blah. Doesn't quite have the back in your seat power I thought it would but its going to mike vine turbos to make sure everything is sweet. Has ridiculous torque though. Temp gauge doesn't move off about 2/5 of scale. I can't really post to much until I've had it professionally tuned and done some proper driving. Towing camper trailer for Easter but again I don't think any figures will be true. Will only record them for comparison after tuning. Hoping to do a D.I. trip pretty soon after Easter mudshark but I really don't think it will be a prob. The cooling system is pretty sweet but a hard run in the soft stuff will be a good engine temp test. Will get missus to help with photo stuff thanks for the tips mate. Sounds effing awesome when you feed it a bit!

Ok so it's been a while but I finally have dyno results. Yes had some heating issues mudshark, towing c/trailer uphill in 5th trying to overtake a muppet. Boiled water out. Had it checked was more likely driver error on my behalf as I should have dropped back a gear to lift revs and fanspeed. Needed some packing around the radiator to fill gaps and increase ambient airflow over the coil. Haven't had any problems since. Had front and rear lockers fitted and had a play up the back of Kenilworth in the forestry. Mostly MX tracks so quite narrow but heaps of fun. Also had a little play in some mud tracks at the back of beerwah. 2 zook sierras were feeling their way through probably scared the ***** out of them as I went past (c/trailer in tow!). Still to do- roof rack and tidy up wiring in back and winch on wish list.

Can't load scan of dyno graphs. ***** I suck on computers!
Will type instead
Run 1 5th gear Torque maxed at 640 Lb @ approx 70k and 97 HP @ 115k
Run 2 5th gear Torque maxed at 830Lb @ approx 70k and 133 HP @ 115k
thats a 30% increase over all! And you can feel it:)

Worked out how to get Dyno results on here. Photo with iphone, send to email, save on computer and upload from file. Go technology! Computer geeks would point and laugh at me, until I used their honda civic as a wheel ramp to check if my sump plug was tight :) Top pic as I delivered it. Second after Mike's boys told her how pretty she was. Yes I am a bellend haha

Nice,

One question though, why were the runs performed in 5th?
I thought dyno runs were typically done in 4th gear due to the 1:1 ratio of that gear.
If it can't be fixed with duct tape or a hammer, It must be electrical

Mike Vine runs it in 5th as it's the weakest gear, most used gear and "worst case senario" performance. You are right about typical dynoing in 4th though. Mikes theory is that by providing worst case data it is the most realistic data that reflects 'normal' driving. I could have got it done in 2nd, third or fourth but that would only be talking up the dyno results that do not reflect true driving. That's the theory anyway Mungas

Went for fourby to Glassie with Andyboy, had sway bars off and lockers on. Running about 18 psi in tyres. Went really well considering I drowned it:) will add some pics ASAP. Just put 3/4 roof rack on. Picked up second hand TJM full ally one with crap timber base for $250. Removed timber, welded in security mesh floor ($100), sandblasted, primed and powder coated ($100), new stainless mounting bolts and rubber ($50). Really stoked it changes complete look of truck. Will also add these pics ASAP.

Some more pics from Glassie run with Andyboy, aka y b normal, that's him in the pic (thanks for a great day Andy) Was a bit of water around ( I put 200mm through my cabin) but I'm sure it could get a hell of a lot wetter Rig. Got hung up on this for a bit but Andy's son Josh guided me out. His technical knowledge of reading tracks is really good for a young teenager. Thanks again Joshie :)
