ln106 1989 hilux setting up for trips

Unread post by hi-lux89 » November 17th, 2012, 8:31 pm

got this hilux just over a year ago i havent done much to it myself i got it pretty much as is just been doing a few little trips around brissy but want to start doing bigger trips such as fraser island ,cape york and one day the kimberleys (maybe in a diffrent car )

Its a 2.8lt diesel ln106
leaf spring front and rear

so far the hilux has
3 inch lift (efs leafs ) ( rancho shocks)
33inch bighorn maxxis muddys
heavy plate gearbox cross member/bash plate
uhf
custom front bar
making rock sliders at the moment
and have almost finished putting a turbo kit on it

Things i want to do
canopy for extra storage
roof rack
side awning
built in water tank in back
duel battery
make a new front bar to fit a winch
spot lights
and a lot more

would like some input on what else to do and also what not to do

1st thing i know i need help with working out is new springs the fronts have sagged do i just get new efs front or just get a new set of springs ?????????????????

G'Day and welcome to the forum. Nice looking lux you've got love the engine accessory you have in it :D .Good to see you get it dirty. If you head down to the Hi-lux section in the model specific threads some one will be able to answer your questions for you.
Cheers

Looks good but its very cheap?
I read the feedback and it looks good, im going with two small light bars on the bullbar facing slightly out so I will hopefully stop hitting roos.
