did a little repair today . the latch that holds the spare wheel carrier open broke off this morning ( bloody dodgy workmanship by the manufacturer . oh yeah it was home made so my bad )
Image
so off with the negative battery terminals (for welding) and a bit of grindingto clean everything up a bit and clamp in place
Image
then dig out the welder for some ******* welding
Image
then a lick of paint and it's back to it's dodgy (like new ? ) original condition
Image
cheers Mark

Hey peeps I'm looking for a gearbox for this thing . She's been parked up way to long with a noisy input shaft bearing and I've been busy with work. I know excuses excuses . It has (ithink) an older 5 speed with the hi/low change on the short stick not the push button on the dash (i think they use a different clutch) anyhow any leads to a cheap good box and transfer would be hugely appreciated
Cheers Mark

Got no help with your Gearbox mate but great to see the Great white Mudshark is still going strong...I see just a bit of R&D mods on the Rear carrier eh...done for free...under warranty ;) :D
Cheers
Chris.

Hey Mudshark...guess what? i get to do some more welding on my rear wheel holders too!! like im sooo excited...i still wear thongs while welding...so im guessing the results will be predictable...
why welding? after making such a tight fit of my rear bars i tightened it further by mild tree impact...now im sniffing round for a clean rear door and have scrounged up the box section for extending stuff a little further AWAY from said doors...also might get them straight this time ya never know!
oh...buy a mig...if it makes my retarded attempts look above average...yours will look factory??
until you lift the welding helmet for a closer look...
