G'day fellas. Can you tell me how many days it took to get from Hyden to Coolgardie? I assume from the pics with the kids and of the sight seeing you were goin' fairly casual. [Just the way i like it!] ;) And when would be the best time to do it? Thanks. Chris.

Hi Chris,we got to Hyden on the friday and stayed the night,
we then started the track on the saturday morning and we got
to Coolgardie on the monday.
I think the best time to do the track is in the summer months
when its not so wet, there were a few deep puddles when we did it,
but nothing major.

Boxhead, as rolly said above we were pretty casual and some of the crew finished the trip on the sunday to head home to Perth, 2 days is pushing it a bit were as 3 days is comfort. Summer is good but can get a bit warm, winter is normally way to wet and it causes too much track damage and some of the bog holes are deep enuf to swallow a 4BY, so anytime from Spring on is good.
