Elchbutting rock, and Montys Pass Weekender off the grid 50Kms north of Mukinbudin. Well worth a look. You can get there in any vehicle, and any soft roader would get you to the top of the rock, or you can just walk.

Its not that far from the city, (373kms) a great weekender for the family or just to get away from the crowds.

Nice Vid! :thumb: Thanks very much for that. It's not just those trees & where they can grow that are amazing, the rocks themselves are pretty inneresting too!! Especially those where the 'waves' have become really pronounced or (like the one in the vid) there's been something happen to form a cave or shelter, and your vid really showed it all well. So once again, thanks again for a great vid! ;)

In Part 2 I leave Elchbutting rock, make my way to the family farms via Westonia, Meredin, Muntagin, Holeton. Then back past Mt Walker and back to Perth.
