Part 1
Rode out to the Woodlines and Woodlands area just south of Coolgardie Western Australia 7 hours east of Perth, to explore around the area that supplied timber for the mines and steam trains in the early 1900s. There is a lot of old ruins and bits and pieces left behind.

The temp was around 41 degrees C 100+ F and I started to struggle. But got to the camp with the dam to take a swim.

Part 2
Then all hell broke loose when a storm crashed in and flooded the while area in minutes.I was stuck 50 kms from camp and down stream. Had to struggle back against the water, red clay to make it back to camp.

It was a great adventure, keep an eye out for the full video or series from the trip.

Motor bike is a Kawasaki KLR 2016 model. It has extensive modifications to make it more reliable for this type of travel.

I made the luggage system myself

This video was taken using a GoPro Hero 4 Silver on the helmet, A GoPro Hero 6, an iPhone and a DJI Mavic Pro Drone. I didn't have room for the bigger cameras I own.

Thanks for that! I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for the whole series! :thumb: Nice advert for XXXX btw! :D

Some great country out that way, and it's amazing how the people who opened all of it up got sooo much done so remote & under such hot difficult conditions.... maybe not quite the way we'd go about it today, but for the times it was the way to go & all it took was a lot of hard work!! A whole lot!! Even at its hardest now (or on the Dakkar!) we get it pretty easy by comparison!! ;)

Here is Part 2 of my ADV ride in the area south of Coolgardie called the woodlines. This ride starts out with the day at 42 degrees C at 10am and end the day fighting floodwaters and electrical storms back to camp.
