Candole State Forest

Unread post by LordMayhem » March 3rd, 2013, 7:29 pm

6 of us (in 4 4bies) went out to explore some of what candole had to offer. with all the rain there was alot of water everywhere and a little while after crossing the deep crossing we got the news there would be more heavy rain and possible flash flooding. so with the decission made not to go back and attempt the deep crossing for fear it would be a fair bit deeper we forged on in search of a new way out.....................6 hours later and i lost count of how many water crossings and recoveries from quick sand like terrain we made it out. was a great day that will stay with me for a long time and just showed what can happen when good mates stick together and work to get everyone out safely :) here is some of the vids we took .

mate we did candole forest road from there we cleared a tree and did through road and took a left onto northern boundary trail from memory that took us to red root road i think and we where out. we had a look at borches water hole road (done it before great fun with the water holes to cross) but this time the water was impassable
