I was up there at the end of september with the Jeep Jamboree guys - the first half of the track all the way to the middle section - the jurassic park section has been graded flat. The big rock slabs and steps are GONE... forever. Two wheel drive basically. The second half is still intact.

Thanks xsi. Nice to know we can still go check out the area and views even if it isn't a challenging drive.

Airly is open, gates are in place but not locked (yet)
Best to contact Col RIbaux, he is in the white pages, search for "Mt Airly" as you will not find him under Airlie.

Its a fantastic place, well worth the trip. ;)

ACT NOW OR LOOSE IT FOREVER

Unread post by Clarkey16 » September 8th, 2015, 11:38 pm

For all who care now is the time to act.
There has been a "Management plan" put forward by National Parks to gate off Mt Airly & to no longer allow 4WD access through Col's old place.
http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/publi ... -draft.htm

If your sick & tired of seeing the best 4wd spots locked up its time to put pen to paper, you know the Greeny's will & that will be to support the plan.
