Great photos mate. Some good touring to be had around that area. Is that old building the remnants of the shale oil facility at Glen Davis? Been meaning to have a look around there.

Thanks VK1, yes, it was the Shale Oil facility. You can book a tour there (recommended for those interested in local history). Some interesting stories from the guide. The drive around the area was also very picturesque. 2 more photos from the facility:

Have to take a look at it next time I'm up there. Hehe, just remembered I also camped up Turon River NP at Easter. Thought your campsite & car looked familiar!

These are really fantastic photo's champ, beautiful area hey, love that photo on the hill, the one you can see in all directions and has no trees on it.

Sorry VK1, being very slack I havne't replied. Hope you didn't notice me doing something silly :D
Of the place I've visited over the last coupe of years, that area is one of our favourite places. The weather was great as well (while apparently it rained in Sydney).

Hi did you go near Sunny corner State forest? and if so did you notice any good riverside camping /

We drove back home (Sydney) via Sunny Corner State Forest (Pinnacle FT). Not so sure about the riverside camping along that way though. We camped in Turon NP.

Thanks for sharing, Its a nice spot. I personally love the rock formations in the area as well as the history
