Unread post by Rooney48 » September 1st, 2014, 10:09 pm

Hey all,
I've been trying to find reviews on the Uniden 8080 UHF radio's.
Has anyone used any of these?
Cheers

Hey mate, I recently installed one in my BT50. Got it as a kit with an aerial from ebay.

I'm really impressed with the unit, the sound is very clear and seems to have all the features I could ever want/need in a UHF. The thing I like about it is because the controls are all on the mic I could hide the main box under a dash panel and run a cable out so the whole install looks very neat. Here is a picture of my overall setup, the 8080 is in the lower left:

Got the 8060 for Christmas. Half installed, and haven't had a chance to try it out yet. viewtopic.php?f=98&t=109427&start=2130#p1800462
