fitting of canopy, snorkel, hard to do? gme fitting

Unread post by Dubguy » December 5th, 2015, 1:09 pm

i am thinking of buying a safari snorkel for my 2013 dual cab bt50 , just wondering are they hard or easy enough to fit? i am an elelctrician and have worked on old cars, so im handy enough and have the tools, i dont mind spending a few hours working on it, it will save me the $300 people are charging to fit. the bit im most worried about is ive read that when drilling the coloum between the door and front windscreen to be careful not to set of the airbags, true? any tips?
also is it hard to mount the alpha canopys? or just pay the extra and get it done right?
lastly im thinking of fitting a gme tx3100 2 way radio in the sunglasses holder on the roof, anyone done this before or know where i could get a custom made shroud for this?
