Hey bud, when I made mine I cut nearly all the splash guard out cos hangs out miles and looks gay, also I cut the original mounts down the bottom so I could get the bar sitting about 5mm off the end of the frame, the tapered steel bits.

I also moved my intercooler up top of radiator and fitted a bigger one, but you have a v6 so that's one thing you don't need to worry about

Thanks for the info Matty.

If you guys google "Xrox ford courier" you will see what Matty is talking about, the inner splash guard hangs down a long way.

Is it legal to cut that? Its not structural so I don't see why it wouldn't be I guess.

Don't reckon it matters its only like a mill thick, not doing anything but stopping splashing

Why did you put your bonnet scoop on not in the middle?

haha that's a stock scoop, the car had a top mount IC originally, which was offset to one side, hence the offset scoop

How strong are these tube bars? and do they offer any proper protection for wayward animals, or is it just to look good and climb over rocks?

Just wondering because I like the look of them, but dont want to fit one and then write off the whole front end of the car when I hit skippy's little brother.
A well made tube bar is very tough, cheack out Alesnik's build thread!
