Hi mate,

Welcome to the forum. A 2" lift would fix the scrubbing, considering you've got a HJ45, it's suspension could be pretty worn so replacing it is also good for reliability. Reliability is also a great selling point to the missus (accountant)

Hold on,

If the tire is scrubbing on the steering arm then you will need wheels with a different offset.

-22 or -25mm wheels will fit 33 inch tires that are 12.5 inches wide.

You dont need a lift to run 33" tires, standard is roughly 32 inch.

Yes -23 would be ok, But I dont think Ive seen those before on steel wheels.

-25 would be my choice but then you will need to cover the 15mm of tire that hangs out past the guards.

No it would not be ok,

It would make driving the vehicle potentially unstable
even ignoring that
What if you get a flat tire?

Your tires and wheels should all be the same size, if not the same type.
