Landcruiser Sahara stereo removal - how do I do it?

Unread post by Toyota HDJ for life » May 2nd, 2018, 7:34 pm

Hi guys.
I have just joined your forum and very keen to hear from anyone with this issue.
Just replacing the Sahara stereo from my 05 100 series. Hdj100r.
I have removed the woodgrain side plates and removed the four bolts to pull the stereo and climate out.
Too easy.
The Tricky bit I cannot work out is I have removed the four screws on the side of the stereo to hold it to the support plates and cannot work out how to pull out the head unit??
Any help would be tops!
Cheers
Lachlan

Hi Lachlan, might be a bit late now, but for what it's worth, considering that I don't know this specifically about your vehicle or model but anyway, many of these stereo head unit thingies in the centre dash have a support strap at the back, as well as those bolts on the side..... :o
