Dual battery set up questions

Unread post by Brad_K » March 5th, 2018, 8:23 pm

Hey guys,

I have a 2014 Nissan Navara D22. It comes factory with a dual cranking battery setup. I installed an isolator and changed one battery to a deep cycle 80 amp battery as it was the only one I was told would fit in the factory location. I am about to put two toolboxes on the back set up for camping. In one of them I want to install a couple of USB ports, 12v outlets and run some LED lights. I also have a Kings fridge to run. Most trips are for no more than 3 days. Couple of questions:

* Will the current setup be enough to run all of that gear?
* If not, can I run a third battery for the fridge alone and all of the other gear off the 80amp? How would I wire up 3 batteries?
* Would I be better off ditching the 80amp and just putting a bigger battery in the toolbox to run it all?
* Or are there other options I haven't thought of?
