Hay guys,

So Perth Salmon Season is almost upon us and although Ive been fishing for most of my life, ive still never really chased the salmon during the season.

This year, me and my brother are teaming up and we are going to give it a red hot crack.

Is as anyone on here a regular salmon chaser? What gear is the best? Line, lures. Best spots to chase them? Im making it my mission to catch one this season!

Cheers and happy 4wding/Fishing.

mullies on gangs always seems to work for me, whole mullie per gang, decent sinker, beach rod with some decent line.

This has lots of good info, http://www.bluewater.net.au/salmon-fish ... stralia-2/
more or less hits all the options, that gang rig is the one i use.

Handy tip - make a few rigs up, if they salmon start frenzying and coming in and you lose a rig you'll want to cast out as quick as you can again, no one wants to watch their mates catch fish while their rigging up!

i know guys love using poppers and have great success. Always worth a try, they aren't too expensive (i'm horribly useless with lures and prefer the more relaxed wait with bait fishing)

most importantly, stay safe! :drink:
