Should be a very good event as the effort put in to get this style of racing up & running by all concerned has been enormous. I know I will be attending.

I for one can't wait to see what this is like. This by the sounds of it could very well be Australia's King of the Hammers. Bring it on!

Edit: Just checked the site.....no mention on what the vehicles spec's can and have to be....am I right in assuming, and correct me if Im wrong, but this is pretty much anything goes as long as its built right and safe which Im sure scrutineering will check thoroughly?

Looking forward to it....

Certain vehicle safety requirements will have to be adhered too. Occupant safety regulations & protection I would expect to be similar to other events of this nature.

Sounds to be a very good event and if anything similar to the KOH it will be a blast. Great to see this type of event being staged:)

mmm nothing like KOH, you certainly won't see truggy's blasting across the open desert plains at 150-200kph for 20-30km at a time........ maybe a quick blast down an access track for 1-2km

Personally I think trying to compare this comp to KOH will do it more harm than good. It is nothing like KOH in terms of terrain or vehicles and if peoples expectations are for it to be like KOH it will only dissapoint.

I want to see this style of comp succeed and for that to happen it needs to be allowed to evolve. Lets accept it for what it is and not what we all want but will never have in Australia. Simply put I dont believe there is anywhere in Australia that compares to the terrain used in KOH.

Similar with regards to open sections with speed and then technical sections be it rocks, logs, bog, creeks beds etc in a lap format. Nothing will even compare to KOH.

Will be no let down on expectations or damage due to hype as its clear the type of event that is being put forward and great that its on our backdoor:)

I think it will be a good event to watch, but i feel that there will be very few winch challenge trucks entereing, which is sad because this is really there sort of terrain, more so than any rock based vehicle.

A bit more info on exactly what is entailed/required would make me, and I am sure a lot more people more likely to enter. With the almost total lack of info available until after entry I probably won't consider it.

The similarity is multiple styles of vehicles over a mixed terrain course with spores and distance a component. Not a short course or stage based event.
