From Nindigully pub back home - where's a good campsite?

Unread post by BigDutchy » June 13th, 2015, 10:13 pm

Hello all
I am traveling soon from Nindigully pub back to Brisbane. I have time to do this in 2 days. So, not in a hurry.
I am looking for a nice campsite or location to stay the night. Must be camping.
I know the road between Goondiwindi and Warwick very well.I don't rate it very high....
Western Creek state forest looks good but I can't get any info regarding camp sites.
Do you have an idea?

Thanks

Dutchy,

Coolmunda dam just out of Inglewood is not a bad spot. I have not camped there, but neighbours have done so, as also my daughter and her family.

There is also Gordon Country near Allora, in the Goomburra Valley. Maybe too close for you to Brisbane.

I have heard about the dam. Driven trough Inglewood many times but never seen the sign of "Coolmunda dam"....

I been in the Goomburra Valley area. It is a bit to close for now but a beautiful area indeed

Leslie dam. I know Leslie dam well. I was hoping to find a place I haven't been yet and not to close to Brisbane.

Cheers
