Trailer...Just using it for work at the moment... no progress.
Swagger? Nah jumped off after seeing cheap $100 recovery tread being sold for $220. Cancelled my account. Made some WA trailer builder contacts since and have had no trouble. This trailer is destined to evolve... :thumb:
Cheers
Chris.

Setup before baby #3. Putting a cot with 2 stretcher beds in annex was ridiculous

Nice up grade... I think when the CT tent becomes affordable for us I will be going no smaller than a 12foot tent for the 2 boys...

Thanks MB. Space is ridiculous and set up time is not to bad, probably be a hell of a lot faster if the missus and I weren't tag teaming littlies but it's all worth it, especially with 3 girls under 5 that get so excited about going camping. I love it! Kitchen is now enclosed and the extra room is basically the play/dinner room. Cooking is done outside so as not to put grease/fats onto ceiling. Cost just under 3k (not including tropical roof or swap over, did that myself). But we are stoked with it. With 2 kids you could use the extra room as a cricket net:)

Just Re-enventing the wheel when it comes to a real off roader.
Just wanted a camper that could follow us anywhere or even pass my lack of driving ability
Had to be strong and take a flogging
Keep the mrs happy but still be a do anything go anywhere camper.

wow......ok.

Looks really good, very creative. one question, is the weight distribution going to be right? 70% in front of the axle 30% behind?

Rogers Cruiser

Don 't know about the 70/30 ruling??? But one 40l container of fuel, 33" spare, large alloy box with 110l fridge and storage box loaded should ride nicely fingers crossed. But you are right, bit heavier in the rear end.

Hi Vlad,
Just finishing up the Drawings but here is the chassis and suspension. Excuse my amateur CAD ability. This will be a side fold hard floor with a boat on the roof. The boat will be able to remain on the roof when the top is folded out and tent erected.
Should be an interesting build

Hay James, what sized steel is your purple center drawbar?

Because if its 50x50 I can see a problem.

Hi started a post on the Camper trailer section thought you might like to have a look it's called "Jayco Swan rebuild from ground up" have got most of the parts needed to finish but some electrical stuff for my duel battery system would help out a lot

Thanks Justian
