Leaf springs - shifting from above to below axle

Unread post by trapper » April 6th, 2017, 9:47 pm

Hi, Apart from checking the clearance between the tyre & mudguard, is there anything else to watch or new parts required? The springs are "Eye To Eye (Shackle) Springs 60mm x 7mm “Outback”" http://www.alko.com.au/vehicle-technolo ... e-springs/ . After jacking up, what would be the order of operation? Cheers.

You will have to turn the axle over and also change the direction of the centre bolt.
If the unit has cable handbrake you may have to either unbolt the back plates and position them so the cables pull the same way.
