Doesnt just look too bad at all mate!! End result should be great, nothing beats the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself :)

Im going to be doing something similar myself.

what size steel are you useing? and indeed what external dimensions are you going with?
'98-'06 - FJ-45 Ute fell over one day and didnt survive
'06-now - HJ-47 Troopy, restored and now daily driver.
