Advice? What 35s for a Modified Class Winch Truck

Unread post by High_Cruiser » June 30th, 2012, 11:13 pm

Okay,
So after competing in my first Winch Truck Challange I am re thinking my approach...

I ran 37s in the last comp, but realised I cannot compete competitively with out spending big $$$ on upgrading the winch (currently std high mount).

As I am new I have decide not to try and compete in the Open and drop back to the Modified Class, but I need to get a set of 35s for competition use on my duel cab 80.

So long story short for a winch truck event what 35s would people choose?

Any advice / suggestions welcome...

Cheers,
Dwayne

11.5" wide simex pedes

Or the new silversone extremes are a bit bigger than they used to be and could go alright, if not better

I've got 35x11.5 silverstones on my lux and i think they are amazing. However, as they like to dig ALOT I find that in some situations high wheel spin results in digging holes rather than moving forward. I guess being a winch truck you'll plenty of momentum so it may not be an issue. They suit me as i tractor around with my 2.4D :D

For a budget 35" tire i don't think you can go wrong. I will always run these tires.
